For 40 years BSS have provided Structural Steelwork, Roof and Wall Cladding, and Rainwater Systems for a wide variety of industries. As a member of both the BCSA and NFRC our company specialises in the "Complete Building Envelope". Our experienced in-house technical team and directly employed site management and labour ensure our projects are run smoothly and efficiently. BSS have the knowledge and experience to provide the complete building solution for your project. Incorporated 25th October 1978, we act as Structural Engineers and Roofing & Cladding Contractors specialising in the design, fabrication and erection of steel framed buildings. Situated in the centre of Carlisle, our Head Office at Winchester House is where the Company's Administration, Design and Detailing functions are performed. We are members of the British Constructional Steelwork Association, the Steel Construction Institute and The National Federation of Roofing Contractors; we are a Registered Steelwork Contractor, participating in the RQSC Scheme, have recently received recommendation for continued certification to BS EN 1090-1:2009+A1:2011 (at execution class EXC4). The Company has a strong Technical base from which the various Works and Site Activities are controlled, and as a consequence we are often favoured to carry out more complex and challenging structures and re-furbishment schemes, specialising in providing the complete structural steel frame & cladded building envelope package.
