BOOM THEATRE COMPANY Information

BOOM made a commitment to produce works that were unavailable elsewhere in Harford County: important classical dramas, world premieres, and non-musical plays. After the Resident Acting Company was launched in 2013, BOOM began to produce company-generated works as part of the Brave New Works Theatre Festival and the unique 24-Hour Play Festival. Since its inception, BOOM has given much back to the community. We've served thousands of students in every corner of Harford county through our FREE classes, education programs, workshops, and special events like the North East Theatre Festival (NETfest) held each winter at Bel Air High School. This past February, our 1st Annual V-Day production was able to raise $1,000 for SARC Harford County, the organization that provides protection from, and education for, violence against women. Now entering our 6th Season, BOOM has grown into a sustainable, nonprofit theater company with an expanding ensemble. Today, the company remains committed to producing creative, smart, and challenging theater that not only enriches the local culture, but actually improves the community.
