Boldglen is a family run business now employing all generations of the family. Originally founded by Tom and Anne Cunningham in 1988 as an agency providing carers for care homes and adolescence, as well as many others in need of care. In 1991 we established Boldglen care for in-house carers and piloted the care in the community scheme. After great success, this is now used across the whole of the UK to provide care for those who otherwise would be at risk. We are a company that has always gone from strength to strength, priding ourselves on the quality of care we provide as opposed to how cheap we can offer it. We are currently registered with UKHCA (UK Home Care Association), the General Social Care Council, the Quality Care Commission, the Kent Community Care Association and of course the Kent and Medway Councils. We are an 'Investors in people' company and support those around us, those who work for us and never shy to lend someone a hand. In 2004 we gained the award 'in recognition of our commitment to profit from learning', along with employer of the month from IPS international, who judged thousands of businesses internationally to find the best ones. We have offices in both Medway and the Isle of Sheppey, so our clients are never far from a point of contact should they need to change their arrangements at short notice. We now employ some 250 carers all of whom are trained to NVQ level 2-3. Only when they reach this standard are they allowed to work on their own caring for individuals. All our staff are put through the Extended CRB check to ensure your loved ones safety. We also ensure our carers wear full uniform with their ID badges on display. This ensures our clients can easily recognise them, removing any fear of not knowing who they are.
