Familia Torres founded its winery in Vilafranca del Penedès in 1870, 150 years ago, but its roots in the winegrowing traditions of Penedès date back to the 16th century. Five generations have carried the family business forward, passing on their passion for wine culture from parents to children – a passion steeped in respect for land and tradition, and a firm belief in innovation. Today the winery focuses on wines from unique vineyards and historical estates, as well as the recovery of ancestral varieties, which could provide long-term solutions. Since 2008, Familia Torres has taken active steps to combat the climate emergency, implementing adaptation and mitigation measures to reduce its carbon emissions. Familia Torres has a historical connection to Penedès, Conca de Barberà, Priorat, and Costers del Segre, but now its presence extends to vineyards and wineries in preeminent Spanish wine regions – Rioja, Ribera del Duero, Rueda, and Rías Baixas – and in Chile and California. It is a member of Primum Familiae Vini, an association representing twelve of the oldest and most prestigious wine families in Europe.

A constant search for excellence is the philosophy that has always distinguished La Rioja Alta, S.A. since 1890. An international benchmark winery, recently chosen the fourth amongst the world’s most admired brands by by Drinks International, it has been able to adapt to new trends, focusing on harmony, balance and sophistication of great wines. The five founding families of La Rioja Alta, S.A. , located in the Railway Station district in Haro, set a demanding roadmap to develop the personality and quality in their wines, with iconic brands the likes of Gran Reserva 890, Gran Reserva 904, Viña Arana Gran Reserva, Viña Ardanza and Viña Alberdi. It is a roadmap which their descendants steadfastly follow today, while transmitting it to the other wineries that currently comprise this winemaking family: Torre de Oña in Rioja Alavesa, Áster in Ribera del Duero and Lagar de Cervera in Rías Baixas. It represents a perfect blend of tradition and modernity pivoting on a commitment to estate-owned vineyards (today, more than 800 hectares) together with constant research, environmental and social commitments and select wine tourism experiences.

Bodega Garzón, the first LEED-certified winery outside North America, is state-of-the-art architecture, advanced technology and an excellent technical team for the production of fine wines of the highest quality, with a strong identity, personality and sense of place, for the domestic and export markets. Built in the mountains of Garzón, Uruguay, Bodega Garzón has an original and wide range of tourist offer a few miles from Punta del Este, ranging from tastings of our award-winning oil, through tours paired with our wines, bike rides, barbecues and the only experience of Uruguay that will allow you to enjoy Garzón from the air. In addition, the Balasto Wine Bar at Bodega Garzón, a unique space designed and adapted to enjoy great moments, with an innovative gastronomic proposal created by our resident chef Ricki Motta together with our world-renowned Culinary Director Francis Mallmann.
