At Crescendo Dance, we promote a positive and fun environment for learning, emphasizing the importance of safety and age-appropriate music and costume selections. We offer unique and challenging choreography in a variety of dance styles and techniques. Students will be exposed to traditional steps, as well as the latest trends in dance, while maintaining the basic skills necessary to progress. Crescendo Dance Studio owner, Tiffany Ellen brings a broad dance and teaching background to Denver. For the past twenty-four years, she has been studying dance in northern Colorado. She began as a three-year-old learner, and was offered an assistant teaching position at the age of fifteen. By the age of eighteen, Tiffany was choreographing and instructing her own lyrical dance classes, and soon after her own combination tap, jazz, and tumbling. While earning her degree in business from the University of Denver, Tiffany continued to teach and perform. Even during her seven years working in finance, she juggled her corporate career with her dancing career. It soon became evident that her true path was to share her love and skills for dance with children, and so Tiffany decided to open her own studio. Now a proud mother of her own daughter, Tiffany can't wait to introduce her to all the rewarding aspects of dance. Tiffany is currently a member of a performing troupe, whose credits include dancing at Walt Disney World in June of 2002, and entertaining for a cruise ship in July of 2004. As children become involved in a variety of different sports and recreation, coaches, music directors, and schoolteachers are discovering that the skills kids acquire from dance class, carry over into their other activities as well. Concentration and perseverance can be applied to schoolwork. Flexibility, practice, and agility coincide with the majority of athletics. And the ability to follow instructions and accept criticism will apply to external relationships with teachers, family, and friends. The dancers at Crescendo Dance will be encouraged to show off their hard work through the most fun and rewarding aspect of dancing - performances. Along with an annual recital, the students will also be given the opportunity to perform in a variety of venues throughout the Denver metro area. By choosing to concentrate on the entertainment value of dance, rather than judged events, the students will be able to display a more individualistic style and creativity. Eliminating the need to perfect a single dance routine all year round for competition, allows the students to be exposed to a wide variety of styles and music. The instructor can choose seasonal songs and costumes that compliment the personality of each class.
