Bobbin is a design and production company located in Portland, Maine. We produce a variety of modern accessories for your wardrobe and home. At Bobbin, we are passionate about fabric. We use only the highest quality wool, linen, and cotton. The wool is purchased locally from the Robinson Woolen Mill in Oxford, Maine, and the all fabrics are chosen for their beauty, quality and durability. These incredible fabrics inspired a line of bags and housewares that are bold, original, and functional. We have kept the styles simple in order to accentuate the beauty of the textiles in geometric two tone designs. We are constantly exploring new color combinations, please contact us for our latest samples. Bobbin's T-shirt line was created as a way to reuse, revamp, and recycle all those terrific shirts that are floating around in our drawers, closets, and used clothing stores. T-shirts are an essential element of American fashion but there doesn't seem to be a need to make more when we have so many great ones already. Our solution, cut them up and use the fabric to update the shirts that we love. All shirts are one of a kind, comfortable and durable. Betsy Scheintaub is the owner and designer for bobbin. She has a BFA in Fiberarts and has worked extensively in theatrical costumes and interior design.
