Sweet Berry Farm is a post and beam farm market sitting on 100 acres of preserved farmland and is filled with our own seasonal fresh fruits, vegetables and cut flowers. The Pick Your Own season begins in mid-June when the first strawberries are ripe and ends in December with our festive Christmas Trees.

Aquaponics has been around for centuries, but only now has technology made this a sustainable method to raise healthy, natural products without chemicals or pesticides within a few miles of where the food will be consumed. Basically Aquaponics is a natural method of raising fish, filtering the water so it is converted into natural fertilizer that is feed to plants in a hydroponic growing environment. The plants consume the nutrients in the water, and the water is returned back to the fish in a closed cycle. Environmentally sustainable. We consume less land, water and fossil fuels than conventional farming. Buy locally creates jobs in our community, reduces the use of fossil fuels to bring food to market, pays local taxes and allows for fresher, vine ripened nutritionally healthy foods for you. Garden Fresh Farms is located in Maplewood, MN a suburb of St. Paul and is a year round local grower. The business is family owned and operated. Currently food takes an average of 1,500 miles to reach your plate. We don’t believe this is sustainable, that is why we have worked with many experts in different fields of study from energy, lighting, aquaculture, horticulture, water treatment, environmentally friendly packaging and harvest ergonomics to grow food in a sustainable method right in your back yard. We don’t plan to stop there. In the future we plan to help others start sustainable urban farms so provide food security in cities across the world.
