BMD Workbench Information

BMD Workbench started in 1981 in an 800 square foot building as a furniture restoration business. In 1983, we began to distribute paint and varnish removers and supplies, adding finishes and finish supplies to the business in 1984. In 1985, we outgrew our location and moved to a 4100 square foot building at our current location of 2166 S. St. Rt. 231. With this move, we added reproduction hardware to the distribution business. Custom furniture was added to the line in 1996, which includes custom design of contemporary and traditional, all unique, one-of-a-kind, handmade and crafted, built one at a time fine furniture. Studio art furniture was added in 2005. Complete furniture restoration is still a part of the business along with salvaging and reclaiming items. Over restoration is always avoided.
