blurr was launched in 2001 with the intention of blurring the lines between fashion and function and putting forward a collection of progressive outdoor apparel and bags. Fifteen years in, we hold true to these ideals and are focused on providing products for the young minded, progressive and multi-faceted outdoor enthusiast; an individual that we feel moves readily and frequently between backcountry and urban environments. In addition to the blurr brand, we collaborate with an ever expanding group of companies to design, develop and produce product bearing their labels across most apparel categories, pack/bags, sleeping bags, tents etc. Some recent examples include: Wolverine Worldwide / Merrell Beginning with the Spring 2016 season, blurr was engaged to define, lead design and collaborate with the Merrell team on the development and launch of their flagship apparel collection, Capra. Now entering our fourth season of design and co-development of the Capra program, scope of work has been expanded to include exceptionally progressive, long lead apparel styles. Vestis Retail Group / Eastern Mountain Sports Engaged in the Spring of 2015 by the Vestis Retail Group, blurr assumed all design and development of Eastern Mountain Sports branded packs, bags, sleeping bags, tents and camping accessories. Working on a condensed schedule, blurr led the transition of information from the exiting team enabling the Spring 16 development and production schedules to be maintained. In the process, a cohesive collection and brand story was implemented along with an alignment of hardgoods and apparel programs, including the injection of new styles. A comprehensive project that encompassed updating the design, creation of tech packs and engaging with EMS supply chain to update and make production ready, 66 styles of hardgoods.
