Blue Hill Public Library Information

The Co-op employs 30 full & part-time staff members, many of whom have been with the Co-op for over 10 years. We have a Café that makes daily soups, sandwiches, salads, baked goods, and lunch specials. All our prepared foods are made in house using the same organic and local products we promote and sell. We also sell baked goods from local businesses, like bagels from Water's Edge Kitchen & Bakery and pastries from Tinder Hearth. Many people with restricted diets depend upon us for a variety of food choices. We are also the best source on the peninsula for organic and natural vitamins and wellness products. The Blue Hill Co-op prides itself in supporting local & organic food systems. In 2016, we purchased over $766,000 worth of items from Maine producers, resulting in over $1 million in sales of Maine product. Click here to see our Buying Policy. The Co-op is open 7 days a week. Everyone is welcome to shop at the Co-op and, over the years, we have become a community food hub for the entire Blue Hill Peninsula where people gather daily.
