Many franchisees decided to close after 10 years due Mall rents skyrocketing, this is when we decided to invest in our Ecommerce Site Online, one of first online cookie stores. We also have converted from franchising model to licensing, giving each licensee the opportunity to put more money into their pocket. It was obvious that Blue Chip Cookies was not going to be just another cookie store from the beginning. When the doors of the first store opened on San Francisco’s Fisherman’s Wharf in March 1983, over 41 years ago, the public immediately fell in love with the aroma and taste of these unique gourmet cookies. By introducing the White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookie to the United States and the world, Blue Chip Cookies began its history of offering innovative, new tastes in addition to such standards as the much-loved Chocolate Chip Cookie. In 2005, Donna Drury and Bob Heine purchased Blue Chip Cookies to continue the tradition of excellence.
