IN BRIEF Bloomsbury Minerals Economics was formed in 1993, initially to research, forecast & mathematically model ore & metal markets. It has since re-focused more on environmental optimisation of mining (water stewardship and decarbonisation). CURRENT HOLDINGS BME: 26% of Skarn Associates (UK, Canada, Spain) researching mines' energy use, GHG emissions, decarbonisation economics, water stewardship, flood & drought risk; BIC: 5% of Minviro (UK, Australia, China): SaaS & consultancy on environmental optimisation of mining; BME: 25% of MPA (UK): SaaS modelling mining equity prices; also trading a small mining equity portfolio; BIC: 4% of Mutinex (Australia, USA, Canada): SaaS measuring ROI on marketing spend and branding; BNC: 6% of the convertible loans of Xilva (Switzerland): screening forestry projects for investors; BNC: 4% of Cascadia Seaweed (Canada, Kenya): seaweed cultivation, derived bio-stimulants & methane-reducing cattle feed.
