Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC) is a global leader in conservation, working across iconic Australian locations like the Kimberley, Central Australia, Cape York and Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre. Our mission: The effective conservation of all Australian wildlife and habitats. All of AWC’s actions are underpinned by science, designed to protect and restore Australia’s unique wildlife. Our sanctuaries and partnership areas protect some of the largest remaining populations of iconic threatened species, including the Numbat and Gouldian Finch as well as lesser-known species such as the Nabarlek (a tiny rock-wallaby), Red Goshawk and Greater Glider. AWC recognises that we must work together to create change. Across the country, AWC is privileged to work in partnerships with First Nations communities and Traditional Owners, along with pastoralists, governments, universities, private landholders and other not-for-profits to powerfully extend the reach of conservation. We are the environmental not-for-profit that thinks bigger than the environment. We started conserving and restoring Australia’s landscapes in 1982 and we haven’t stopped since. At Greening Australia, we work on major programs that bring life to landscapes and restore balance to the natural environment in significant areas across Australia. Our hundreds of projects demonstrate conservation on a massive scale, covering millions of hectares of land and protecting thousands of native species. From the warm waters of the Great Barrier Reef to the cool island ark of Tasmania, we’re thinking big to tackle the challenges facing Australia’s unique and diverse landscapes in ways that work for communities, economies and nature.
