The work is whatever gets hours back to account managers: automating the day-to-day, connecting systems that don’t talk to each other, evaluating vendors, and building bespoke software only where it makes sense. Some weeks that’s pairing with the account managers to find where the time actually goes. Some weeks that's writing code. Some weeks it's telling the owner the tool they're about to buy won't fix the thing they're annoyed about. I build fast, and I stay on to own what I build.
