Bittermilk Bottling Co. was founded by husband and wife team Joe and MariElena Raya, who spent years behind the bar and in professional kitchens before delving into manufacturing a specialty beverage product line. What began as a way to extend their craft drinks to the hands of those beyond the four walls of their cocktail bar, grew into manufacturing a family of four beverage brands including their flagship brand Bittermilk cocktail mixers, along with Tippleman’s syrups, Barcoop Bevy, and Drinkmanship. Every product is handcrafted and bottled in-house in their custom Charleston, SC manufacturing facility, where the team mixes and bottles in small batches using real ingredients and bar-driven techniques. That hands-on approach allows Bittermilk to maintain the same craft, balance, and attention to detail that inspired the products in the first place. In addition to its own brands, Bittermilk Bottling Co. also develops custom beverage solutions for other brands, helping bring new cocktail mixers, syrups, and drink concepts to life.
