Founded in 1974, Birrana is a specialist in the design, manufacture and rebuild of parts and assemblies for mobile mining equipment specialising in wheel groups for Komatsu and Caterpillar trucks. Birrana has expertise in brakes, final drives, differentials, axles and suspension systems. Today, Birrana has 4 service centres in Australia and has rebuilt over 4000 wheel groups. Birrana's goal is to satisfy the mining industry's need for long life reliable components that enable major production machines to operate at optimum efficiency. Product and process R & D has always been a key ingredient in the company's strategy. This has allowed Birrana to develop innovative products and services for an industry constantly searching for improvements in machine productivity. Birrana has recently joined forces with an international group of established mining services companies as part of the “H-E Parts International” group (www.H-EPartsInternational.com). Existing H-E Parts International partners include Crown Parts and Machine, Dom-Ex, HEP Distribution and CME. Birrana’s strategic focus as “The Wheel Group Specialist” remains unchanged.
