The Company's roots go all the way back to 1968 when it started as a family-owned business, initially dealing with cotton and tobacco. Throughout the years, Birlik established itself as a spice processing facility, located in Kemalpasa, Izmir/Turkey and added cleaning, grinding, and packaging lines. Carefully examining the trends and needs of the global supply, Birlik went into organic and sustainable agricultural projects by mid-2000, establishing contract farming and developing teams to build this model. Major development and upgrade took place in 2009, adding new herb cleaning lines, and achieving top quality standards for its facilities with its qualified staff.
