Birding Thinking started as an idea I had years ago and could never quite finish. Life, work, and a hundred other priorities kept getting in the way. Over the last couple of years, I finally gave it the time it deserved. The idea itself was simple — the habits that make a great birdwatcher are the same habits that make a great problem-solver — but simple ideas still need a way to become real. For me, a book turned out to be the right format, even if writing a book feels a little old-fashioned in 2026.
