Biotricity is a biomass processing CHP power station developer. We have sought and achieved grid connection, planning permission and technology for our initial site in Rhode, Co. Offaly. The plant will generate 50 MWt of energy, of which 15 MW will be converted into electricity and th balance of 35 MW will be used to dry further biomass for further processing into pellets. The power generation is uniquely 'always on' and therefore part of Eirgrid's 'base load'. This makes the electricity highly sought after.
