BioTools is a world leader in providing instrumentation and services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in several niche markets. We concentrate in the areas of biopharmaceuticals and chiral-organic drugs. Our unique products are used for molecular structure characterization from active ingredient to formulated finished products. We were the first company to commercialize two ground-breaking techniques in vibrational spectroscopy - Vibrational Circular Dichroism (VCD) and Raman Optical Activity (ROA). VCD is the most sought after technique for determination of absolute configuration of chiral molecules, including natural products and chiral API's. ROA is mostly used for structure characterization of glyco-proteins, proteins, viruses and nucleic acids. We are also renown for our expertise in the structure characterization of biologics. We pioneered commercial use of FT-IR for formulation and this year introduce a new ground-breaking integrated micro-imaging-Raman system. BioTools also offers contract services for characterization of chirality and biologics.
