BioTech Studio LLC is offering for license or purchase its proprietary TELOBODIESTM platform technology for the development of therapeutic and diagnostic products. TELOBODIES are part of a novel drug category called 'non-immunoglobulin protein scaffolds'. As discussed in a recent review, these scaffolds are showing increasing promise as a superior alternative to antibodies. On April 17, 2012, BioTech Studio LLC was granted U.S. patent 8,158,588 by the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office for its Telobody TM technology. Entitled "Loop-Variant PDZ Domains As Biotherapeutics, Diagnostics And Research Reagents," the patent contains composition claims relating to libraries of PDZ variants that can be selected for affinity to therapeutic targets or other molecules of interest.
