We are the professional body for chemists in the UK, and an internationally renowned publisher of high quality chemical science knowledge. Society for Science is a nonprofit 501(c) (3) organization dedicated to the public engagement in scientific research and education. Inform – To deliver the events and news of the scientific world daily. Through online and print media, we keep the world informed of the latest scientific news and advances. Inspire – To encourage and nurture the next generation of scientists, engineers and teachers, through our acclaimed science competitions. Founded in 1921, the Society for Science has through its award-winning publications, Science News and Science News Explores, and its world-class science education competitions including the Regeneron Science Talent Search, the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, and the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge.

FIRST was founded by inventor Dean Kamen in 1989 to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology. Based in Manchester, NH, the 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit public charity designs accessible, innovative programs that motivate young people to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math, while building self-confidence, knowledge, and life skills. Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities.
