Just 10 years ago GPs experience and intuition was enough to determine the best antibiotic for patients. Since then however antibiotic resistance raised significantly. Same antibiotic can work differently for two patients suffering from the same disease. Countries like France, Denmark, Switzerland, and Germany already made the first move to decelerate this problem, as they established the law for mandatory testing before prescription of an antibiotic. As an ideology, this regulation is more than great, but it has one major problem. In order to work properly, it needs to be quick and cheap enough to be used in case of every patient regardless of their health condition. We aim to design, prove and then mass-produce cheap and quick point-of-care tool that will help GPs select proper antibiotic for every patient. This will reduce the mortality caused by improper treatment of bacterial diseases. The precise selection of an antibiotic for infection treatment will also slow down the drug-resistance process. We developed the testing machine that houses all necessary equipment to carry our test (including analytic algorithm) that will be sold one time to clinics and testing plates including our own recipe mixture of antibiotics, nutrition broth and enhancers that will be sold weekly to clinics based on their needs. Our motivation is to develop the tool to resolve a worldwide issue. We hope to encourage governments to implement mandatory antibiotic selection testing by delivering a viable solution that allows such law without stretching healthcare budgets.
