It becomes a matter of learning from nature's genius and searching for existing solutions to find ways to emulate them. Acknowledging this database of billions of years of research and development that hold the secret to survival, means not only understanding how life works in this bigger picture, but recognizing that we are also part of this system that we are so inspired by, and that whatever we do will also contribute to supporting or obstructing it.
