We provide an unrivalled food and organic waste recycling solution to local authorities and commercial customers across the UK, processing waste from homes, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants, hotels, offices and food manufacturers. We have won many industry, environmental and business awards for our waste recycling services. We operate a network of 14 anaerobic digestion (AD) plants located across England, Scotland and Wales. These plants will process around a half of a million tonnes of food waste and organic material each year to generate 18MW of green electricity for the grid – enough to power around 50,000 homes. In addition, we have seven transfer stations which provide our customers with a local tipping point for their food waste and a network of composting sites. What’s left from our AD and composting processes is a nutrient rich product which is returned to the land to grow more crop. Nothing is wasted: ours is a truly green solution for food and organic waste disposal and renewable energy. Biogen is certified ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
