Biofrontier was established in 2003 as the first independent pipette calibration facility in Singapore. Our expertise in all major pipette brands coupled with full spare parts support was a welcome change to the inconvenience of sending pipettes to multiple vendors, which was the standard practice then. Committed to providing service of the highest standards, we always strive to be the standard bearer in the industry. Subsequently in 2006, Biofrontier became the first company in Singapore to be awarded ISO/IEC17025 accreditation for pipette calibration by the Singapore Accreditation Council under its Singapore Laboratory Accreditation Scheme (SAC-SINGLAS). To further improve the one-stop service experience that has become synonymous with Biofrontier, we moved to a new and larger facility in 2008 and continued our expansion by foraying into new areas of calibration services. The company was awarded ISO/IEC 17025 certification for weighing balance calibrations in the same year. In 2009, we pioneered accredited calibrations for bottle-top dispensers in Singapore. At the same time, we also achieved accreditation for thermocycler calibrations, becoming the first company to offer accredited thermocycler calibration in Asia. This was a remarkable achievement as this made Singapore the third country after the Netherlands and the UK to offer state-of-the-art thermocycler testing that conforms to ISO/IEC 17025 standards. In 2010, Biofrontier embarked on a re-branding exercise in tandem with our significant investments to upgrade our calibration capabilities. We wanted a clear and distinct brand identity to help catapult the company to a new level of service, resulting in stronger recognition by our clients to our unique brand values.
