Bioendev has developed a unique torrefaction technology since the company’s start in 2007. Based on the research around torrefaction and gasification at Umeå University in Sweden the company has kept developed an energy- cost-efficient as well as reliable torrefaction technology for maximum yield and product quality. The long-lasting research has resulted in a strong patent portfolio focusing on process control, consisting of seven active patents internationally. Bioendev’s torrefaction technology is also developed from a wide range of feedstock which also makes it possible to produce a highly quality energy product which is not possible for conventional pellet technologies. We have proven the technology in Industrial scale by running the largest torrefaction facility in Scandinavia with a capacity of 16 000 tons/year. The produced biocoal is sold for large industry production tests in Scandinavia and internationally we have now reached a position where the technic is considered to be commercially viable for large industry production. Bioendev delivers the market’s most cost-effective and reliable torrefaction technology for biocoal-production facilities with a capacity in the range of 30-120 kton/year together. We offer retrofits of existing white pellet plants, turnkey greenfield torrefaction plants for commercial productions with EPC partners and process Licenses for Bioendev’s well patented torrefaction technology.
