At Bioelectrix, we are pioneering the future of advanced wound care. We develop a wearable bioelectronic electrodes that supports the body’s natural healing signals by delivering safe direct current stimulation. In chronic wounds, these signals are disrupted, so the wound struggles to close, which leads to slow healing and more complications. A key process is electrotaxis: skin cells naturally follow steady electric fields during healing. Most electrical wound devices today use alternating current (AC), which does not recreate the body’s steady field. That’s why no device on the market delivers a constant, natural-like electric field to support wound closure.
