Biocrine is a start-up pharmaceutical company in the field of diabetes with a goal to discover new concepts for continual development of drugs. We aim to find suitable treatment both for diabetes itself and for all the complications that this disease induces. The flow of innovations stems from the extensive research at the Rolf Luft Research Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology at Karolinska Institutet. The center is the one of the leading research institute in the world focusing on the endocrine part of the pancreas – the islets of Langerhans. The company was founded in 2008.
