BinaryHeart is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to bridging the digital divide and fostering digital literacy. Founded in 2016 as a high school club at New Trier High School, we’ve grown into a multi-chapter organization operating at Indiana University, Northwestern University, and New Trier High School, empowering underserved communities through access to technology. Guided by our pillars of accessibility, sustainability, efficiency, and integrity, we work to make technology a force for good. We refurbish and donate computers to provide equitable access to technology, reduce e-waste through environmentally conscious practices, deliver impactful programs like tech literacy workshops and free IT support, and consult nonprofits and startups on best practices. With a commitment to innovation and community, we strive to meet evolving digital needs while creating lasting value. Our core functions include refurbishing and donating computers, providing tech literacy resources, consulting organizations on technology solutions, and advancing research and innovation in the tech nonprofit space.
