BIG Information

BIG is an information and emergency call center on dangerous chemical substances. Information is gathered with respect to physicochemical and (eco)toxic properties as well as regulations on safety, health, environmental protection and transport; all related to hazardous materials. This information is stored in an extensive database (more than 50,000 substances and mixtures that can be accessed via a million synonyms and queried in 17 languages). Each year a selection of 20,000 entries is edited on DVD with data concerning transport and packaging requirements (ADR, RID, ADNR, IMO and IATA), material handling, emergency response, disposal and labelling in compliance with the latest EU regulations. This DVD includes 13 query languages. The information stored in the BIG database is a very useful source material to draft Safety Data Sheets, Workplace Instruction Cards or EU Labels. BIG has not only specialists in the field of EU classification but also in the areas of environmental and transport legislation. This means that we can offer services such as 24 hours Emergency Response service, Product Registration within Europe, advice on packing and transport requirements. BIG has also been specializing in REACH and CLP (GHS) and acts as Only Representative for a number of Non-EU manufacturers (www.big.be)
