Prior to launching Big Effect, Biggane helped pioneer the playlist era at Spotify, where he created and programmed flagship playlists including New Music Friday and Today’s Top Hits and played a role in the rise of artists including Billie Eilish, Post Malone and The Weeknd. He later served as Global EVP of Music Strategy & Tactics at Universal Music Group under Lucian Grainge, leading initiatives across data automation, catalog growth, A&R strategy and emerging technology. Big Effect is backed by investors including Primary Wave, Andreessen Horowitz, Skate Ventures, Lauv, and multiple other strategic investors. The company’s leadership team also includes COO and Head of Marketing Jessica Kelm, formerly of APG, and Chief Data Officer Zwick Tang, formerly Head of Machine Learning at Universal Music Group.
