We are Biff’s Jack Shack and we're doing vegan junk food differently. Our mission is to create the UK's most indulgent plant-based dishes without compromise, and we're doing it with jackfruit. With our 'crispy fried jackfruit' we've turned a spiky tropical fruit into burgers and wings that have launched a thousand oh-my-god-I-can’t-believe-that’s-vegan moments. Since exploding onto the London street food scene last summer as part of KERB’s ‘inKERBator’ our unique has been featured in The Guardian, Esquire, BBC Good Food, The Metro, Evening Standard, Waitrose Magazine, Mr Porter, London on the Inside and Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch- where Simon Rimmer and the team voted our wingz their favourite vegan junk food dish. Quickly establishing a strong social following and vibrant brand, in November 2017 Biff’s partnered with Stoke Newington bar, the Haunt, to create Hackney's only vegan junk food bar. Serving an expanded menu including brunch ‘omlettes’, hush puppies and London’s only vegan poutine, the restaurant was named one of the UK’s best for vegan food, and our ‘Samuel Hell Jackson’ burger listed as one of Time Out’s Top 10 Veggie Comfort Food Dishes. Biff's Jack Shack was founded as Biff's Kitchen Ltd in 2017 by partners Chris 'Biff' Burrows and Christa Bloom. Created as a reaction against the sad bean burgers that were often their only option when dining out, Biff and Christa live by their “Filthy AF, Vegan AF” mantra by creating innovative, playful and exciting food for plant-based folk and meat-eaters alike.
