Established as a College on the current site by London Borough of Newham in 1985, the result of a merger between East Ham and West Ham technical colleges with the aim 'to better serve the needs of the people of Newham'. Newham College of FE has a reputation for widening student participation with an enormous range and variety of provision. The College has developed a comprehensive selection of outreach sites and learning partnerships across London, enlarging the college considerably.

Croydon College is the Largest Further Education College in Greater London attracting students from London, Surrey and across the South. Founded in 1932, the College works with local employers and Schools to provide relevant Courses and Apprenticeships to grow the local community and economy. The Colleges Specialises in vocational courses and qualifications with a high success rates among our learners. Students can achieve A levels, BTECs and T levels at Croydon and in 2024 the College was awarded a "Good" Ofstead rating as we are pleased to offer our students a high standard of learning and support towards their chosen profession. The College also runs a wide range of flexible distance learning courses, for both corporate clients and individuals and has a ALS department to support learners with additional needs.
