The Breastfeeding Network (BfN) aims to be an independent source of support and information for breastfeeding women and others.
It aims to:
*Promote breastfeeding and a greater understanding of breastfeeding in the United Kingdom.
*Collect and disseminate information on breastfeeding and baby and infant nutrition.
*Provide information and support to parents on the feeding of babies and infants.
*Set and encourage the acceptance of quality standards for breastfeeding support.
*Establish and publish codes of practice for such support.
We do not accept funding from sources which have a commercial interest in infant feeding. For example, we will not accept sponsorship from manufacturers or distributors of breastmilk substitutes, feeding bottles, teats or dummies.
The Breastfeeding Network is a recognised Scottish Charity
Research shows families who receive lactation support and education are more likely to reach their breastfeeding goals.
This is why we exist. For over 20 years, we have been an expert resource for breastfeeding support, consultations, information, and supplies in Nebraska and surrounding areas.
MilkWorks was founded in 2001 by a group of mothers, who wanted all families to have access to comprehensive, evidence based breastfeeding support. We pride ourselves on knowledgeable, compassionate staff who develop trusting relationships with families. Our goal is to meet you where you are, whether that's providing breastmilk for 3 days, 3 months, or 3 years. Each breastfeeding journey is unique - the goals, challenges, and priorities. While breastfeeding is something humans have done since the beginning of time, it is also a skill that must be learned and practiced.
Stop by our Lincoln (58th & Old Cheney • Trade Center) or Omaha (108th & Center • Rockbrook Village) location, Monday - Saturday from 9am-5pm (Tuesday 9am - 6pm), and see what we are all about. Our goal is to provide you with the highest quality breastfeeding support in a safe and comfortable space.
The mission of Breastfeeding USA is to provide evidence-based breastfeeding information and support, and to promote breastfeeding as the biological and cultural norm. The legislation debated and passed by the US. Congress on the floors of the U.S. Capitol building has a direct impact on the ability of Breastfeeding USA to accomplish its mission. The insurrection of January 6, during which a violent mob of supporters of President Donald Trump breached police barricades, broke down doors and windows of the Capitol building, and illegally entered during a joint session of Congress, was an assault on lawmakers and a desecration of the place where laws are made. We condemn this action as a direct threat to democracy and the legislative process, a process that has been and will continue to be used to protect and promote American families' access to breastfeeding support. Because our work involves advocating for equity and anti-racism in all segments of our population, we condemn white supremacy and the ongoing efforts to overturn a duly certified election and incite violence. Breastfeeding USA continues to commit ourselves to the ongoing work of promoting better access to lactation care and reducing health disparities for all.
