DÄNISCHES BETTENLAGER is one of the leading commercial enterprises for mattresses, duvets, pillows, furniture, furnishings and home accessories in Europe. We are a wholly-owned subsidiary of the global JYSK Group, which was set up by Lars Kristinus Larsen in 1979 in the Danish city of Aarhus. We have more than 1,000 stores in Germany and Austria operating under the name DÄNISCHES BETTENLAGER. Around 200 further stores in Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal operate under the international group brand JYSK. We currently employee a workforce of more than 8,500 people in these seven countries. The company headquarters are located in Handewitt near Flensburg, employing more than 450 colleagues in a whole range of different areas, e.g. finance & controlling, IT, sales management, marketing, human resources, communications, procurement, legal, customer service, real estate and e-commerce. Our logistics centres in Homberg, Zarrentin and Kammlach rank among the biggest and most state-of-the-art logistics centres in Europe. Our logistics centres currently employ more than 500 people, most of whom work as warehouse management specialists, order pickers, commercial employees, IT specialists and trainees
