Prof. E.h. Dr. h.c. Werner Hufenbach (Seniorprofessur).
The University of Stuttgart is a university located in Stuttgart, Germany. It is one of the top nine leading technical universities in Germany (TU9) with highly ranked programs in civil, mechanical, industrial and electrical engineering.
The University of Stuttgart is especially known for its excellent reputation in the fields of advanced automotive engineering, efficient industrial and automated manufacturing, process engineering, aerospace engineering and activity-based costing. One of Germany‘s oldest and most innovative universities: Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU). And, with approximately 40,000 students and more than 6,500 employees, FAU is also one of the largest universities in Germany.
FAU offers the entire spectrum of academic disciplines, enabling students to choose from 275 degree programs across five faculties: The Faculty of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Theology; the Faculty of Business, Economics, and Law; the Faculty of Medicine; the Faculty of Sciences; and the Faculty of Engineering.
Research topics at FAU include immunomedicine, quantum technologies, medical engineering, new materials, solar energy, artificial intelligence and human rights. By closely collaborating with over 500 international partners, be it companies or research institutions, FAU scientists are pushing boundaries and building bridges, thus creating new spaces of innovation.
In order for great ideas to become solutions, FAU offers the ideal ecosystem for its students and researchers to step into the world of entrepreneurship.
Driven by the motto of “Moving knowledge”, FAU sees itself as a platform of freedom where people come together to shape the future by exploring new paths, going beyond what we know today, and connecting disciplines and institutions.
