Beta Capital SA Information

Beta Capital SA was founded in Spain in 1987 by Cesar Alierta, as business banking services company whose major shareholders came all of Banco Urquijo. Still in 1987 is associated with MS Capital Ltd and constitutes a branch in Lisbon, Portugal, with the same objectives. In late 1988 it sold 50% stake to Kuwait Sovereign Wealth Fund (KIO - Kuwait Investment Office) that years later sell them to Dutch MeesPierson's (Fortis Bank Group), changing the name to Beta Capital MeesPierson. It is still one of the most active company in Spain in Asset Management and Securities Market. Beta Capital MeesPierson operates as a subsidiary of BNP Paribas Fortis SA/NV.
