Bespoke Only is a New York City based interior design firm specializing in creating spaces and experiences with a modern approach to understated luxury. The core of our design philosophy is the belief that each space is active and organic, unfolding as we study and react to it intimately. The pursuit of simplicity and harmony is a hallmark of the Bespoke Only aesthetic as is the respect for negative space, which we believe allows room for continuous evolution of the space and its inhabitants. We approaches each project in a truly bespoke way, combining our unique backgrounds in fine arts, luxury goods, and hospitality. Our personal and professional experiences enrich and set apart Bespoke Only’s practice, resulting in work with an exceptionally rich quality and depth. Building relationships within the creative community and collaborating with skilled craftsmen, dealers and merchants alike is another integral part of their design process. The studio was founded in 2012 by Melissa Lee, a designer and self-taught aesthete with a unique eye for style, nuance and balance. Bespoke Only’s portfolio boasts a collection of hospitality and residential projects in addition to select event experiences ranging from large-scale to intimate weddings throughout the country. Their work has been recently featured in Elle Décor, Architectural Digest, Vogue, Conde Nast Traveler, SURFACE, and Whitewall.
