Bertaux + Iwerks Architects is a full service architecture and design studio located in the Leather District of downtown Boston. We serve clients both locally and nationally, undertaking design projects at scales ranging from large transportation centers and institutional buildings, to mid-sized renovation, expansion, and planning projects. Over the past 30+ years, Leonard Bertaux and Chris Iwerks have built distinguished architectural design careers in Boston, authoring numerous award-winning buildings in the city and mentoring dozens of young architects who have gone on to become valuable contributors at other firms. Bertaux + Iwerks Architects are the originators of Outcome-Driven design (ODD), a framework for including diverse stakeholder perspectives in the design process. ODD has evolved to become one of the core tools of our practice, offering a true end-to-end framework for mapping and monitoring building design processes to the real-world, real-time desired outcomes of project owners and constituents.
