Berkshire Primary Care Limited Information

BPC Ltd was formed when every one of the fifteen practices of Bracknell and Ascot CCG chose to give their support to its formation. This was the culmination of a process that's started in earnest in October 2014, but in reality was being talked about as long ago as 2011, was the incorporation on 11th March 2015 of Berkshire Primary Care Limited. These member practices, representing a population of 134 000 patients, are all of the 12 practices situated in Bracknell, Berkshire and the nearby villages of Sandhurst, Crowthorne and Binfield and the three practices in the more affluent area of Ascot. The Board were invited and membership elected and is made up three GPs and two Practice Business Managers with the position of CEO held by Dr Roger Hartstone. In the short time that it has existed Berkshire Primary Care has quickly drawn up a long list of projects to work on, focuses on services that will benefit patients and membership practices as as member benefits. In doing this a key objective is to reduce the time that it has previously taken locally to implement projects and commence the delivery of new services. Ultimately the aim is to build a stronger primary care locally, whilst working closely with our primary and secondary care partners, and to make our general practice more sustainable and stronger financially. Our hope is that we will grow Berkshire Primary Care to be a strong provider organisation that has the confidence of patients, partners and our CCG. We are in negotation and working collaboratively with a number of Commissioners and Provider organisations to identify and review mutually beneficially working and whilst we are a relatively new organisation we are making exciting progress utliising the wealth of knowledge and experience held in the Board to turn opportunities into reality!
