Bentsen Palm Development is a 2,600-acre Master Planned Conservation Development located in the City of Mission, 3 miles South of Expressway 83, next to Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park on Bentsen Palm Drive. To show its commitment to South Texas and its beautiful native habitat, Rhodes Enterprises, Inc., the developer of Bentsen Palm Development, donated $2.4 million of land to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the World Birding Center Central Visitors Facility at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park and $1.4 million of land to the North American Butterfly Association ( NABA) for the building of the largest outdoor butterfly park in the world. All residents of Bentsen Palm Development are within walking distance of each of these outstanding public nature facilities. Bentsen Palm Development, when fully built-out, will include approximately 4,500 single-family residences, 1,000 multi-family dwelling units, and 300-acres of industrial / commercial / local retail facilities.
