Bento Labs is working on the next generation of anticipatory search for mobile phones. We believe that mobile apps and anticipatory search are where the web was in 1996 prior to the innovation in browsers and search engines. We are building a meta-OS that will open up new experiences around discovery and app engagement and blur the line between apps and web. The opportunity and challenges are significant, and therefore we are building a stellar team. The founders, Nikhil Chandhok and Kunal Punera, have deep experience in search and consumer products. Nikhil started the company out of Google Ventures where he was EIR. Most recently he was Director of Product at YouTube where he worked on multiple consumer and ads efforts. Prior, Nikhil worked in Google Search. Kunal was the 4th engineer at RelateIQ where he led Data Products Engineering. RelateIQ recently sold to Salesforce for $390MM. Before, he worked on web search and ads at Yahoo! Research. Kunal has a Ph.D from UT-Austin in ML.
