Benson Design Information

Benson Design is a building design studio based in Albany, Western Australia. Founded in 1999 by designer and director Keiron Benson, our work encompasses custom residential and commercial buildings, with extensive experience on both new and renovation projects. We provide a complete service from feasibility studies, concept design, documentation, selections and approval through to tender and construction supervision, with the level of service tailored to suit the requirements and scale of each project. We are passionate about collaborating with our clients to create functional, liveable spaces that respond effectively to the brief, budget and potential of the site. Benson Design has gained a strong reputation for creative residential design solutions on steep and complex sites, and we are recognised for the close working relationships we build with our clients, consultants and contractors. Our commitment to detail, clear communication and effective project management ensure that all projects run smoothly towards a successful outcome. Sustainability principles are integral to our practice. During the design process we will consider ways to minimise the life-cycle environmental impact of the project, such as passive energy design, sustainable material selection, water and energy efficiency, water harvesting and reuse, and renewable energy sources. We recognise that in addition to the sustainability benefits, such features will result in a more comfortable, robust, and cost efficient building.
