Formed in summer 2004, the roots of the Benoit Martiny Band (shortBMB) are in a Garage in the small village of Rameldange, Luxembourg. The band plays an insane kind of rock-jazz written by Benoit Martiny himself, who is very inspired by rock and jazz music of the 60ies and 70ies. The mighty BMB is, since 10 years now, jazz'n`rolling around the world and has released 4 albums and a Live DVD. Apart from touring all over Europe, BMB was nominated for the Dutch Jazzcompetition in 2005 and won the Amersfoort Jazztalent award in 2008. In 2013 the band had the opportuity to finally tour Japan. Over the years, BMB invited several guests to join them for different projects, songs or albums. On their last album `Trauerspill` for example, they worked with producer Alejandro Londono and had, among others, Mark Lotterman sing a couple of tunes. Their latest project also includes a few special guests to extend the BMB experience. nder the name of "The grand cosmic journey" BMB are joined by supersax player Roby Glod, Keyboarder Leon den Engelsen and living Bassclarinet legend Michel Pilz.
