Since 2008, Bendigo Distribution Services has offered a recycling incentive program to newsagents and newsprint retailers. Recycling newsprint is a great way to help our environment and BDS is very dedicated to providing the best recycling program we can. Collections of newsprint from retailers is not where the line is drawn, BDS also offers specialty bins to business and schools to fill for collection. These services are free of charge and in some cases, a cash incentive is actually given to the retailer for their support. Over the past 5 years, Bendigo Distribution Services has recycled over 600 tonne of newsprint. BDS plans to step into larger recycling avenues in the near future.
