Bend Urology Information

Specialty urologic care was established here in Central Oregon in 1964 when Dr. William Ellis, fresh from his training at Northwestern University Medical Center, moved to Bend to practice medicine. In time, Dr. Ellis was joined by Dr. Paul Whitsell and opened his own clinic. Bend Urology was born. Bend Urology has since grown to include a staff of six board-certified urologists — delivering state-of-the-art diagnosis and treatment. Our team of doctors are complemented by highly trained physician assistants. Along with our nurses and support staff, they have contri buted greatly to the high quality of urologic care and service that have come to define our group. In 2002, Bend Urology moved to its current location in Doctors Park Medical Center. At the same time the physicians opened Doctors Park Surgery Center. This outpatient surgery center has won accolades for both its advanced treatment expertise and quality of care, and all in an environment that is friendly, sophisticated and comfortable. Bend Urology is commited to working with the St. Charles Health System and other local providers to focus on the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s TripleAim: improving access to healthcare, enhancing patients’ experience, and assuring affordable healthcare. Our goal is to maintain the highest quality of care by offering the best and newest treatment modalities to improve our patients’ quality of life, their urologic health and their longevity.
