Warrior Foundation Freedom Station is a leading force in assisting, honoring and supporting the military men and women who have so bravely served and sacrificed for our country. We are committed to supporting our Warriors with quality-of-life items, support services and transitional housing designed to assist them and their families during the recovery and transition processes. Warrior Foundation Freedom Station assists four main groups of warriors:
- The seriously ill and injured soon to be medically retired
- Those suffering from post-traumatic stress (PTS) and/or traumatic brain injury (TBI)
- Those undergoing physical or occupational therapy
- Warriors who have been medically retired and remain in our community
To serve this last group in particular, we are proud to have pioneered a new, inclusive approach called “Freedom Station.” Freedom Station is a unique, recovery-focused transitional housing residence in San Diego, CA that provides injured warriors with the acclimation time, guidance and resources to successfully make the transition from military service to civilian life.
Warrior Foundation Freedom Station is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization proudly operated by a dedicated staff and volunteer corps.
Warrior Kids is a pioneering program that over the past 23 years has empowered thousands of children across New Zealand, many of them from challenged backgrounds. The renowned child centered class where the focus is on personal development, Warrior Kids is a high impact, full on, non-stop adventure for children, involving games and challenges where students become champions of life. Focusing on bringing out the warrior within, Warrior Kids draws upon Maori warrior concepts and Eastern martial arts in a non-aggressive way designed to instill confidence, respect and self-control, leading children to become masters of their lives. Frustrated at the lack of support for children and young people Tim Tipene decided to do something about it. In 1994 at the age of 22, without any formal qualifications, funds or support, Tim created Warrior Kids to empower children with Self Control and Social Skills. Tim has gone on to provide Warrior Kids to communities and schools for over 23 years, changing the lives of thousands of children and their families. 'A warrior is one who can face the challenges of life. One who can be with their emotions and their vulnerabilities.
