The founder of Bellis Fruit Bars, Mr. Nicholas Vellisaropoulos gave his shortened, modified surname, to the company as its name [Vellis to Bellis]. Nicholas unfortunately passed away in 1996 at the ripe old age of 95, but the company he founded has progressed over the years to become the category leader and the number one producer of school fruit bars and other dried fruit based confectionery, in Australia. Our annual production has been as high as 100,000,000 20-gram fruit bars per annum, (equivalents). If we were to put one year's production of these bars end to end they would extend 9,000 kilometres!
