Beinfield Architecture Information

Beinfield Architecture PC is a full-service architecture firm founded in 1983 by Bruce Beinfield FAIA with offices located in the heart of historic South Norwalk, Connecticut. We have gained a national reputation for our designs, and have received over 50 major design awards for our work. Our projects have been published extensively in books and the national press. These tributes are a testament to the creativity, care, and professionalism that goes into all of our projects. Ours is an idea-driven practice whose work is inspired by place, culture, and history. We are dedicated to solving architectural problems innovatively with environmentally sustainable solutions that are simple and direct, expressive of structure and program, and supportive of the varied patterns of human life. We are committed to a vision of architecture and design that is at once responsive and imaginative, modern, yet respectful of tradition and context. As architects practicing in New England, our work is informed by the timelessness and essential meanings found in the stark, simple, patterned forms of early New England architecture. It is architecture of distilled images, which effectively bridges between the distant past and the present. Our buildings often embody a childlike simplicity, with images that are intended to express a dreamlike, yet familiar quality. Our Clients’ dreams, budget, and functional requirements provide important raw materials from which architectural solutions are forged.
